Radio On-Air And Media Content Coordinator
We are seeking a motivated, creative, and community-focused individual to join our small-market radio group. This position is based at our primary station in Glendive, MT, with opportunities to contribute content across 11 stations within our regional group. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hosting a morning show, delivering local news, sports updates, weather, and community information, producing audio content, and creating digital media.
Key Responsibilities
On-Air And Programming
- Host or co-host a weekday morning show (6:00 AM - 9:00 AM) on the Glendive station
- Deliver local news, sports updates, weather, and community information
- Perform live and voice-tracked on-air shifts
- Occasionally provide content for other stations within the 11-station group
- Represent the stations at community events, remotes, and live broadcasts
News
- Gather, write, and deliver local news on the air
- Conduct interviews with community leaders, organizations, and residents
- Provide timely and accurate news updates throughout the day
- Post local news stories to station websites and digital platforms
- Maintain strong local focus, credibility, and accuracy
Sports
- Cover local and high school sports
- Assist with play-by-play, color commentary, production, or board operation
- Create sports reports, interviews, and highlights
- Support live sports broadcasts and remote coverage
Production
- Produce commercials, promos, and station imaging
- Assist with advertiser production and creative messaging
- Work closely with programming and sales teams
Digital And Website
- Create and post content for station websites and social media
- Upload news stories, sports updates, podcasts, and audio clips
- Assist with basic website updates and content management
- Help grow digital engagement across the station group
What We're Looking For
Confident, clear on-air delivery and strong communication skills
Interest in local news, sports, weather, and community storytelling
Basic audio production skills (or willingness to learn)
Comfortable with digital platforms and social media
Dependable, organized, and self-motivated
Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Radio, journalism, or broadcast experience preferred but not required. Training provided.
