Job Description:
DEPARTMENT FOCUS: The Communications & Marketing Department is responsible for creating awareness and promoting understanding of Quincy College and its educational mission. The department develops and implements strategic marketing, communications, and media relations initiatives to cultivate relationships with the College's various stakeholders and build awareness with current and new target audiences. It maintains the integrity and consistency of the College's brand identity across all of its communications vehicles; oversees the design and production of all communications materials; and provides communications support to the College's various departments.
POSITION SUMMARY: The incumbent manages the overall design and visual style for websites, ad campaigns, magazines, newspapers, photoshoots, and TV productions; sets the general artistic tone, using imagery and aesthetics to bring concepts to life; directs artwork and oversees the project from inception to completion.
EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience is required with an emphasis in Marketing, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field. The incumbent must be motivated to keep up with new or evolving computer graphics and design trends independently.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
TRAVEL: Assignment/travel for Quincy, Plymouth and Boston Campuses as well as other local travel to athletic events, commencement and other events may be required.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Five or more years of hands-on graphic design experience
- Advanced skills with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and Figma or Sketch
- Proficiency in:
- Constant Contact or equivalent platforms
- WordPress and/or other content management systems
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge in digital marketing, social media strategy, influencer marketing, client management, insights and trends, and crisis communications.
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with colleagues and partners of varied backgrounds and experience
- Ability to work independently on projects
- Knowledge of project management software is a plus.
- Basic understanding of HTML & CSS
- Experience with mobile and responsive web design is a plus.
- Good judgment and discretion, strategic decision-making, and problem-solving.
- Prior experience collaborating with printers and outside vendors is a must.
- High level of creativity.
- Must be motivated to keep up with new or evolving computer graphics and design trends independently.
- Possess valid driver's license.
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Requirements:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Graphic Design Support:
- Create and update communications materials as assigned (i.e.: printed and digital collateral, graphics, newsletters, marketing materials, flyers, etc.).
- Support the development of the branding package for the organization, including creating templates for all communications.
- Collaborate with Content Creator to create a content calendar with creative ideas for social media, and internal and external communications.
- Perform general administrative duties, including maintaining department files, databases, archives, artwork, and photography.
- Daily maintenance of the Quincy College website.
- Track and maintain inventory of college publications, premiums, and other materials produced
- Create design and layout of various marketing materials, including but not limited to outdoor, brochures, internal event flyers, event collateral, and digital ads, while adhering closely to the brand style guide.
- Coordinate editorial content and design elements of social media channels and website.
- Assist with the design, writing and production of email marketing campaigns (Internal & External).
- In collaboration with appropriate staff, compose/edit and layout all copy for internal and external collateral materials.
- Work with Enrollment to engage and reach desired target audiences.
- Create program Itineraries, Invitations, and Certificates for each event for all graduation and scholarship ceremonies
- Create Program Books and print internally
- Support internal teams with presentation design and development
- Work with the extended teams to edit and print needed collateral for each event
- Collaborate with internal and external vendors to execute digital, print, and event-based projects.
- Provide event support at Meetings, Events, Commencement, Photo and Video Shoots, and other College Events as needed.
- Assist with basic website edits and site uploads
- Constantly identifying out of date content and updating
- Participate in mandatory training/coursework. Including but not limited to:
- Title IX and Sexual Misconduct
- Sexual Harassment and Non-Discrimination
- Security Policy and Notification of Security Reporting
- FERPA
- Municipal Ethics Law
- Assume other related duties as assigned.
