Description What you will do
This customer‑facing position requires meeting with insureds and completing field estimates in the Buffalo/Western New York area. Personal and commercial lines losses will be reviewed and estimates forwarded to desk adjusters. Desk estimating may be required as needed. The position includes eligibility for a company vehicle.
Key responsibilities
Investigate, prepare complete scope and report on personal and commercial lines property losses.
Extensive personal contact with insureds, their legal representatives, and customer agents; occasional contact with law enforcement officials may be required.
Operate independently with limited supervision in handling/settling a high volume of claims within assigned authority.
Follow estimating guidelines and adhere to field adjuster turnaround times.
Additional responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Conform with all corporate policies and procedures.
What you need
High school graduate required; 4‑year college degree preferred.
4‑7 years of adjusting personal and commercial lines claims preferred.
3‑5 years of field adjuster experience, including writing estimates, preferred.
Licensing
Required to obtain your license(s) as an adjuster in the state(s) in which you are assigned to adjust claims. Licensing must be obtained within the timeframe set forth by the Company and must be maintained as needed throughout your employment.
Salary range
$77,000 - $110,000
