The paralegal provides organizational and substantive support to attorneys and paralegals within the practice group, as well as to other practice areas as needed. This role supports the Real Estate practice group in all aspects of real estate transactions, including due diligence, financings, acquisitions, subline matters, syndications, and dispositions. The paralegal is expected to be an analytical, independent, and detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills. In performing these duties, the paralegal exercises discretion and independent judgment in managing and completing assigned projects, while consistently ensuring a high level of client service and satisfaction in all aspects of the position. Paralegal Responsibilities
Review and prepare real estate and loan closing documents, including deeds, easements, and related transactional materials. Conduct due diligence, including title and survey review; order and analyze third-party, zoning, UCC, bankruptcy, title, and entity reports. Prepare closing checklists and documents and coordinate real estate transaction closings. Organize closing documents and binders. Conduct entity searches and prepare, file, and maintain formation and governance documents. Manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and adapt procedures to meet business needs. Apply analytical, problem-solving, and technology skills to complete work efficiently and accurately. Perform document review and factual and procedural research aligned with client objectives. Maintain client files and oversee work of other paralegals, as needed. Comply with billing and administrative requirements, including daily time entry and weekly timesheet submission. About You
Bachelor’s degree preferred; four years of commercial real estate experience in a law firm preferred. Notary Public license a plus. Ability to manage multiple projects, follow complex instructions accurately, and meet deadlines under pressure with shifting priorities. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accountability, with the ability to work independently and proactively resolve issues with minimal supervision. Effective collaborator with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to research, synthesize, and clearly communicate complex information; excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Flexibility to work overtime and travel as business needs require. About Mofo
