
The Working Capital Solutions (WCS) Associate will be part of the WCS team in New York and will support the origination, structuring, execution, and management of Working Capital Solutions offered to BBVA’s corporate clients. The role involves close coordination with Coverage, Product, Operations, Technology, Legal, Risk, and external partners to deliver competitive and innovative working capital financing structures across global markets.

in Working Capital Solutions, Trade & Working Capital products, Corporate Banking, or related areas. Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Origination Support
Support origination efforts for Working Capital Solutions by analyzing client needs, preparing tailored proposals, and identifying opportunities across BBVA’s client base. Participate in client discussions and presentations, providing product knowledge and analytical support to Relationship Managers and senior product specialists. Support the preparation of marketing materials, pitch decks, and product content for internal and external use. Structuring & Execution
Contribute to the structuring of WCS transactions, including Supply Chain Finance, Receivables Purchase Programs, Payables Finance, and other working capital financing tools. Coordinate supplier onboarding processes, working with Operations, Technology, and external partners to ensure smooth client implementation. Prepare internal credit and transaction approval materials, including memos, risk assessments, and financial analysis. Drive cross-functional execution across Operations, Technology, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Commercial Approvals to ensure timely and accurate delivery of client solutions. Assist in the development and enhancement of WCS products, evaluating new capabilities, market trends, and competitive positioning. Support strategic initiatives, including market research, process improvements, and enhancement of digital/FinTech-related capabilities. Support engagements with external third-party partners, such as FinTech providers, to enhance BBVA’s offering and client value proposition. Business Management
Lead business management efforts for the WCS USA franchise, including pipeline management, performance reporting, governance deliverables, and coordination of strategic priorities. Support training initiatives to increase organizational understanding of WCS products and processes. Technical Skills
Minimum 3 years of experience in Working Capital Solutions, Trade & Working Capital, Corporate Banking, or related financial products. Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field. MBA preferred. Strong understanding of working capital financing tools such as Supply Chain Finance, Receivables Finance, and Payables programs. Solid analytical and financial skills, including credit assessment and understanding of transaction risk and profitability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Professional Skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities, including client-facing interactions. Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams in a complex, multi-country organization. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver under tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset. Fluent in English; Spanish or Portuguese is a plus. Management Responsibilities
Support knowledge sharing and training of junior team members and internal stakeholders. Assist in monitoring the WCS portfolio to ensure credit quality, performance, and adherence to budgetary objectives.
