The Regional Sales Engineer is a key Sale Position with the responsibility of sales and service within the states throughout the Midwest and West for the Crane CPE Saunders HC4 products. This individual will be responsible for managing the territory and organizing channel development, product training, applications training, sales forecasting, project execution, end user demand, sales planning, margin, and other functions as outlined by the North America Sales Manager. The RSE supports Business Line planning, strategy, and business development for Saunders HC4 product group. This individual will work closely with Customer Service and Business Line Management to ensure we are making the right local decisions on promotion, price, placement and product. This highly visible role is viewed as a development position for future Sales Leadership positions. Main responsibilities

Drive annual Top Line and Bottom Line orders and sales growth in region. Help identify key decision influences at Target & Key Accounts; interacting with them to ensure they understand Saunders HC4 product and the value propositions for their applications. Drive the execution of MRO maintenance and conversion accounts. Assist in the development of competitive technical analysis and training materials of products in target applications highlighting technical advantages. Maintain a detailed and comprehensive knowledge of the product line and the value proposition within specific applications. Identify opportunities for new product development, which support existing application and improve our value proposition or technical advantage. Play an active role in the NPD process, assisting Business Line Managers in researching new product ideas. Monitor competitor technical changes in current product and new product initiatives. Actively manage the Channel Partners in the geography. Provide support to BLM to perform competitive benchmarking. Identify and pursue projects / prospects and participates as a team member in GPT. Assist BLMs to develop demand forecasts. Assist in the development of the annual Saunders HC4 operating and sales plan. May be required to participate in technical specifications and contract review for major projects. Assist Product leadership with strategic geographic sales initiatives and end user demand creation. Develop and Deliver Annual Regional Sales Plan to the North America Sales Manager. Deliver Weekly report on Regional orders, pulse, and selling activities. Deliver updates on competitive movements and any key projects to North America Sales Manager. Utilize & Champion Sales Excellence tools as they become available. Qualifications and experience

Educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification) Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. Minimum 3 Years managing a similar product in the Midwest/West, familiarity with the Channels and End-Users in the region Minimum 5 years in technical field Sales / Sales Management Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with ability to quickly build relationships with channels and end-users. Knowledge of how to create a regional sales plan and execute on the plan Excellent written and oral communications skills including technical and business understanding.
