Overview
We are seeking a
hands-on Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist
to own and improve conversion performance across our publicly facing
B2B SaaS marketing website .
Our product is evaluated by
highly technical users
— DevOps engineers, SREs, network admins, QA engineers, and software developers. This role requires
strong technical literacy
and the ability to communicate clearly and credibly with engineering-driven audiences.
This is not a strategy-only or managerial role. You will personally analyze user behavior, design improvements, adjust copy and layouts, implement changes, and iterate based on results.
Technical B2B SaaS - Contract / Fractional
Remote | 20-30 hours per week
What You’ll Do
Analyze user behavior across core marketing pages (homepage, product pages, pricing, free trial signup)
Identify friction points and conversion drop-offs using quantitative and qualitative data
Translate technical product capabilities into clear, conversion-focused messaging for engineering audiences
Design and implement CRO improvements including:
Page layouts and visual hierarchy
Headlines, value propositions, and calls-to-action
Navigation and user flow logic
Create and run A/B tests where appropriate; apply best-practice improvements where testing is unnecessary
Make direct changes in CMS and landing pages
Collaborate with internal stakeholders when changes require review or coordination
Track results and continuously iterate to improve conversion rates
Success Metrics
Measurable improvement in visitor free trial conversion rate
Reduced friction for technical users evaluating the product
Clear, credible messaging that resonates with DevOps and engineering audiences
Consistent delivery of conversion improvements, not just recommendations
Required Experience
3-6 years of hands-on CRO, growth optimization, or UX optimization experience
Proven experience optimizing B2B SaaS marketing websites
Strong balance of:
UX and conversion-focused design
Conversion copywriting
Behavioral analytics and funnel analysis
Strong technical literacy:
Comfortable with technical terminology
Understands how engineers evaluate tools
Able to work with technical products without oversimplification
Comfortable owning execution and outcomes
Tools & Technical Skills You should be comfortable with most of the following:
Analytics & Behavior
GA4, funnel analysis
Heatmaps, session recordings (Hotjar, FullStory, Microsoft Clarity)
Experimentation
A/B testing tools (VWO, Optimizely, or equivalent)
Design & Execution
Figma or similar design tools
CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, or similar)
