Senior Solutions Consultant – Analytics (Vertica) | Germany

The Opportunity As a Senior Solutions Consultant, you will support enterprise sales by positioning OpenText Analytics Database (Vertica) as a mission‑critical analytics platform. You act as a trusted technical advisor, translating complex business challenges into impactful, data‑driven solutions across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.

Working closely with Enterprise Account Executives across DACH, you will drive new customer acquisition and expansion through technical evaluations, demonstrations, and Proofs of Concept (POCs). Your expertise in analytics, data engineering, and machine learning will be key to showcasing Vertica’s performance, scalability, and real‑world business value.

Responsibilities

Partner with Account Executives to win new business and grow existing enterprise accounts across DACH

Lead technical evaluations, demos, and POCs as a subject matter expert in analytics databases and data platforms

Translate customer requirements into high‑impact use cases, including predictive and ML‑driven solutions

Collaborate with Sales, Presales, Product, Engineering, and Services teams across EMEA and the US

Provide customer feedback to influence product strategy and roadmap

What You Bring

Strong background in analytics, data warehousing, and query optimization (ETL/ELT, OLAP, BI)

Hands‑on experience with columnar / analytical databases (e.g. Vertica, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, ClickHouse)

Solid understanding of machine learning, statistical analysis, and data modeling

Proficiency in SQL; Python or R strongly preferred

Experience designing and delivering customer‑facing POCs in real environments

Familiarity with cloud platforms, containers, and orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes)

Fluent German and English; additional European languages a plus

Strong communication skills, customer focus, and ability to manage multiple sales cycles in parallel

Willingness to travel across Europe as required
