
Account Sales Manager - West Coast

Novaris Search are currently partnered with a global manufacturer of Powder Coatings, seeking an Account Manager responsible for driving sales growth and managing customer relationships for powder coating products across the Western United States. This role focuses on developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and providing technical and commercial support to OEMs, coaters, and other industrial customers. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial coatings or related markets and excels at consultative, value-based selling.
Lead and expand sales activity across the assigned Western U.S. territory
Identify, develop, and successfully close new business opportunities with OEMs and custom coaters
Create and execute strategic territory plans aligned with company revenue and growth objectives
Consistently achieve or exceed annual sales goals, margin targets, and strategic initiatives
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers
Act as the primary point of contact for pricing, product selection, and commercial negotiations
Identify and capitalize on upselling and cross-selling opportunities within current accounts
Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively resolve issues or concerns
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in powder coatings, liquid coatings, chemical pretreatment, or powder coating application equipment
Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing environments and coating applications
Proven ability to manage a large geographic territory and work independently
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Willingness to travel extensively within the Western U.S. (typically 50–70%)
Preferred Skills & Attributes
Technical aptitude with the ability to explain product performance and value propositions
Results-driven, self-motivated, and highly organized
Experience selling to OEMs, metal fabricators, or finishing operations
CRM experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred, but not required
