Senior Architect / Architectural Designer — Heimsath Architects. Heimsath Architects is a small, well-established firm located in Austin. In business for over 60 years, we specialize in preservation, adaptive reuse, and related projects for community and faith groups.
We are looking for a Senior Architect/Project Manager. This is a full-time position, though we will consider part-time for someone with limited hours or other obligations. We offer a hybrid work environment with a balance between scheduled in-office time and flexible remote time. This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in design documentation and detailing who enjoys sharing and collaborating with other professionals and with client groups.
Our projects typically begin with a master plan, conditions assessment, or visioning program. From there, we provide full-services in assisting our clients as they develop and implement their vision, from early conceptual design through construction.
Responsibilities
Provide design documentation and detailing for projects.
Collaborate with other professionals and client groups.
Support projects from conceptual design through construction administration.
Qualifications
Professional degree in Architecture
5-10 years of architecture, renovations, and/or historic preservation experience
Strong background in design, construction documents, materials, and detailing
Well-rounded experience through all phases of project development, including construction administration
Knowledge of building code, entitlement, and permitting processes
Experience with ArchiCad and/or Revit
