KVOA-TV in Tucson, Arizona is looking for an energetic Sports Anchor and Multimedia journalist to lead our local sports content. This full-time position requires someone who can excel in the digital age of journalism, telling compelling local stories beyond the scores and highlights. The successful candidate will be a great storyteller who can shoot, write, edit, produce, and anchor, and be proficient on social platforms. If you have a strong on-air presence with credible delivery and a personable style and can execute engaging live shots, we want you on our team. Responsibilities
Anchor and report on local sports content. Shoot, write, edit, and produce sports segments. Deliver engaging live shots and maintain a strong on-air presence. Utilize social platforms to extend coverage and audience engagement. Tell compelling stories that go beyond just scores and highlights. Qualifications
A degree in broadcast journalism or a related multimedia field and at least two years of experience as a television sports anchor. ENPS knowledge is a plus. Non-linear editing knowledge and photography skills are required. A good driving record. Must possess or be able to obtain an Arizona driver’s license. A pre-employment background check is required.
