Guild Capital;
a USA-based venture firm with a strong track record of investing in and building high-growth consumer companies across the globe. We strategically partner with Guild Capital’s portfolio companies to build, launch, and scale brands from the earliest stages giving us direct influence over brand direction, product positioning, and long-term growth strategy. We work across nomenclature, identity design, packaging and UI/UX, creating cohesive ecosystems that help brands scale across e-commerce, retail, and digital channels. We partner with ambitious companies in categories like beauty, wellness, home care, personal care, food & beverage, and lifestyle, acting as an embedded creative and strategic arm for founders and leadership teams. About the Role
We’re looking for a
Brand Strategist & Packaging Designer
who can build brands from the ground up-defining their visual DNA and bringing them to life across packaging, print, and digital. You’ll craft strong, cohesive brand identities, develop detailed brand books, and extend those identities into packaging systems that look stunning on shelf and translate seamlessly into digital environments. Key Responsibilities
Develop brand identities - including logos, visual systems, color palettes, typography, and supporting assets. Create brand books that document design systems, tone, application examples, and brand usage guidelines. Design packaging systems that translate branding into physical form, maintaining visual consistency and commercial appeal. Build and manage production-ready dielines in Adobe Illustrator and coordinate with vendors for correct outputs. Suggest suitable GSMs, materials, and substrates for packaging, keeping both design and functionality in mind. Collaborate with the Creative Director to shape brand narratives and ensure design intent aligns with strategy. Build strategic brand foundations and define how the visual identity aligns with the brand’s core values, audience insights, and business goals. Translate brand identities into digital and UI/UX contexts if required (basic familiarity with Figma and UX principles). Extend branding into social or campaign collateral when needed. Create compelling pitch decks that showcase brand and packaging identities that leave an impact and convert clients. Stay on top of design, packaging, and branding trends, ensuring the work remains contemporary and high-impact. Must-Haves
5+ years of experience in branding and packaging design, preferably in consumer or D2C categories. A strong portfolio showcasing logo systems, visual identities, packaging work, and brand books. Expertise in Adobe Illustrator and Figma, with working knowledge of Photoshop for mockups. Understanding of print production and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors. Understanding of offline branding and shelf visibility. Detail-oriented with excellent presentation and communication skills. Ability to confidently interact with international clients and pitch decks. Bonus Skills
Familiarity with e-commerce website design best practices. Experience designing for Shopify or D2C brands. Execution of motion graphics. Why This Role is Exciting
You’ll have the opportunity to shape brands end-to-end, from creating identities to packaging and digital expression. You’ll work with a global creative team, contributing to some of the most exciting new D2C brands and start-ups in the market.
