11481**JOB DESCRIPTION****Overview:**

The Product Technical Training Instructor designs, develops, and delivers advanced technical training programs for customers and employees worldwide in the semiconductor industry.

This role is critical to enabling customers and employees to maximize system performance, ensure operational excellence, and support innovation in semiconductor technology.

This is cross-disciplinary, hands-on training focused on operations, maintenance, setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of complex systems.**Key Responsibilities:*** **Develop and Deliver Training:** Conduct engaging technical training sessions in classroom and hands-on laboratory environments, focusing on ion implanter equipment and processes for customer and field service engineers.

Train 8-10 engineers over 3-4 weeks of training classes.* **Curriculum Development:** Design comprehensive training curricula, including course outlines, lesson plans, and assessments, aligned with industry standards and customer requirements for in-person, virtual, and online self-paced training.

Collaborate with multimedia developers to illustrate complex processes.

Iterate existing courses to align with new product offerings 2-3 times a year. Create new self-paced course modules quarterly.* **Technical Writing:** Create clear, accurate, and user-friendly instructional materials, manuals, and documentation based on engineering specifications, field service requirements, and software updates.* **Machine Support:** Upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot training assets with the department.* **Collaborate Across Teams:** Partner with engineering, technical support, and manufacturing teams to ensure training content reflects current product features and emerging technologies.

Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to engineering teams on system improvements.* **Customer Interaction:** Work with customers and internal stakeholders to identify training needs and customize content for specific applications and environments.* **Evaluate Effectiveness:** Assess training outcomes and gather feedback to improve course content and delivery methods continuously.* **Domestic & International Travel:** Travel to customer locations to conduct training.

10-15% travel expected.**Qualifications:*** **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Physics, Technical Education, or a related technical field.* **Experience:**

+ 2–4 years of professional experience in technical training, curriculum development, engineering, or product support.* **Skills:**

+ Strong communication and presentation skills.

+ Expertise in curriculum design and adult learning principles.

+ Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical instructions.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including problem-solving methods

+ Familiar with control systems or semiconductor manufacturing equipment preferred

+ Basic understanding of vacuum systems, RF electronics, and high-voltage components

+ Graphic Design, multimedia development, and video editing skillsare a plus

+ Proficiency in technical writing and documentation.

Adobe FrameMaker authoring is a plus.

The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression asyou develop within the role.Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in theAxcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regularemployees working 20+ hours a week). #J-18808-Ljbffr
