Graphic Designer
– Ellis Island Casino, Hotel & Brewery. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our marketing team. This role will support the marketing and events teams in creating design work for Ellis Island Casino, Hotel, the Front Yard, the Village Pubs, and other projects. You will help design marketing materials that enhance our visual identity across our casino, hotel, and entertainment brand. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio, proficiency in design software, and a passion for creating engaging visual content that resonates with a diverse audience.
Location In-person in Las Vegas, NV, 89109: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Marketing Manager, Lead Designer, and larger team to develop creative concepts that align with business objectives and strategies.
Collaborate with the marketing team to understand project goals and translate them into visual concepts.
Develop visually compelling graphics for a wide range of marketing materials, including digital ads, print collateral (brochures, flyers, posters), social media content, email newsletters, and event signage.
Design promotional materials for special events and seasonal promotions.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and adhering to department processes and SLAs.
Incorporate design revisions and feedback from team members to meet objectives and deadlines.
Think strategically about how each design fits into the overall marketing plan and long-term property goals.
Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines and maintain consistency across platforms.
Stay current on design trends and explore ways to incorporate them into assets.
Create assets for website, social media, email campaigns, and online advertising.
Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm new creative ideas and provide project updates in team meetings.
Prepare files, perform quality assurance checks, and coordinate deliveries of materials to vendors.
Organize and maintain design files for future use.
Communicate status and needed information to teammates in a timely manner.
Skills / Experience
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
At least 2 years of professional graphic design experience, ideally in hospitality, entertainment, or gaming.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.).
Strong knowledge of typography, color theory, and layout principles.
Experience with motion graphics or video editing is preferred.
Ability to create designs for both digital and print formats.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Registration card.
Ability to submit to and pass a background check and drug test is required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a desk or computer.
Proficient computer skills (keyboard and mouse).
Ability to focus on detailed work for extended periods.
Occasional lifting of materials or equipment up to 25 lbs, such as promotional materials or event supplies.
Ability to participate in team meetings and presentations, which may involve standing or moving around.
