Job Responsibilities
Administer Asset/Property control activities to ensure continual accountability of BAE Systems Space and Mission Systems Assets, Government, or associate Contractor product in accordance with applicable policy or government regulations as overseen by the Department of War (DoW), NASA and/or BAE Systems.
Support the Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit in enabling efficient business and program execution across strategic investments, industrial operations, supply chain, manufacturing, test operations, and facilities management.
Assist the Integrated Supply Chain team in linking end-to-end material flow to support program success.
Review and verify paperwork or electronic requests for Asset/Property work, ensure accuracy and compliance with Asset/Property Management requirements, and maintain required logs and electronic records.
Count material, sort product, inspect for damage, store properly, pack, and move items while maintaining accurate logs and files per SMS policies.
Receive, control, and protect product by ensuring proper storage and secure handling; report safety or security concerns to appropriate leads and managers.
Prepare product movement with proper protection for transport to permanent or transitory locations.
Perform property management duties to ensure compliance with FAR and existing policies and procedures.
Provide guidance, training, and interface with programs to ensure understanding of Government property management requirements.
Contribute to policy development; write or modify property administration policies and procedures as appropriate.
Analyze and troubleshoot property issues, coordinate acquisition of Government or customer property, and review contracts for required data and flow-downs.
Coordinate with internal/external customers and Government agencies to clarify requirements; ensure proper identification and utilization of property.
Create and maintain property accountability records and audit trails; manage closeout plans for surplus property and coordinate disposal activities.
Ensure transfers of property are approved and documented; provide guidance on property accountability transfer between contracts.
Perform final disposition reviews and prepare status reports on property, including inventories and related metrics.
Investigate contractor liability when Government property is lost, damaged, or destroyed.
Plan and conduct property physical inventories and follow all guidelines and process requirements.
Maintain training and certifications as needed; operate vehicles, forklifts, tools, PPE, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
Perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving inventory as required and maintain a regular, predictable schedule.
Establish effective working relationships within the department and with other units to support a positive work environment.
Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment This position requires regular in-person engagement on-site five days per week at the primary work location. Travel and local commuting between company campuses may be required.
Working Conditions Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Education & Qualifications
Minimum Education Required: High School/GED
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities: Bachelor’s degree. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from an accredited institution.
Security clearance: A clearance or polygraph is not required to be eligible, but the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission after offer, and must be able to maintain applicable clearance if required by program.
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills
National Property Management Association (NPMA) accreditation/certification (CPPS/CPPA) preferred.
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $56,401 - $95,881
