The eCommerce Sales Manager is responsible for leading Swisher’s commercial execution across eCommerce retail partners, including Amazon, Walmart.com, and other online marketplaces. This role drives customer development, joint business planning, and digital trade performance to ensure sales growth, profitability, and seamless integration between the commercial and marketing functions. Working closely with the Marketing eCommerce Manager, this role ensures alignment between digital content, pricing, promotions, and fulfillment strategies — translating brand and marketing objectives into actionable retail customer plans.
Responsibilities
Define the long-range eCommerce sales strategy aligned to enterprise revenue, margin, and brand priorities
Own the national eCommerce commercial roadmap, including platform prioritization, growth levers, and capability development
Advise the VP, National Accounts on digital commerce investment strategy, channel risks, and emerging opportunities
Lead executive-level relationships with eCommerce retail partners (Amazon, Walmart.com, etc.)
Negotiate commercial terms, digital trade structures, and performance commitments
Own the eCommerce P&L inputs including pricing, trade investment, promotional funding, and margin management
Govern digital trade effectiveness and ROI in partnership with Finance and Revenue Growth Management
Establish performance standards for promotional cadence, funding levels, and profitability thresholds
Serve as the commercial integrator between Sales, Marketing, Category, Supply Chain, and Analytics
Partner with the Marketing eCommerce leader on the digital roadmap, ensuring seamless coordination between traffic, conversion, and revenue
Establish national KPI frameworks for eCommerce performance
Lead executive business reviews and performance governance routines
Translate performance data into strategic recommendations for leadership
Pilot new platform models, digital merchandising approaches, and retail media monetization strategies
Lead process modernization initiatives to improve speed-to-market and execution accuracy
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, eCommerce or related field
10+ years of progressive commercial or sales leadership experience, with at least 4+ years in eCommerce or digital retail
Proven ownership of national customer strategies and revenue planning
Demonstrated experience influencing enterprise priorities and investment decisions
Deep understanding of eCommerce platform economics, retail media, and digital merchandising
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives at the enterprise level
Strong financial acumen in pricing, margin, and trade optimization
Proficiency with sales analytics tools, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite
Exceptional executive communication and negotiation skills
Travel: Up to 20%
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or advanced business degree
Experience in CPG, tobacco, or other regulated product categories
Experience leading omnichannel or digital transformation initiatives
Familiarity with Amazon, Walmart, and retail media ecosystems
