Responsibilities of a Medium Duty Sales Representative entail:

Use all reasonable methods of prospecting for new and used truck customers on a daily basis, either by telephone or by making calls to individuals and businesses outside the dealership.

Completing sales call reports and submitting reports to management.

Market medium-duty trucks to end-user customers.

Assist customers in selecting and ordering trucks by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.

Provide follow-up and ongoing service to existing customers.

Build and maintain positive long-term relationships with customers and vendors.

Offer service to all walk-in and call-in customers on assigned floor days.

Demonstrate new and used trucks to customers, which may include test drives.

Complete accurate sales orders, secure deposits and process paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies.

Deliver new and used trucks, explaining all warranties and dealership after-sale services.

Attend sales and training meetings as required.

Learn new truck and equipment specifications on a continual basis to improve knowledge of product performance and application.

Appraise used trucks, when necessary, and complete reports in accordance with company policy.

Collect accurate and complete financial data on customers, when necessary.

Requirements

Must have a valid driver’s license

Ability to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License and DOT medical card

Previous sales experience preferred

Previous business or finance experience preferred

High School Diploma or GED required

Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
