Sapphire Nursing and Rehab at Meadow Hill is currently looking to hire a skilled Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to oversee our therapy department. The DOR will function in a patient care capacity and will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of our Rehabilitation Services Department. These activities include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. The director will have oversight responsibilities for all aspects of staff management, departmental management, and maintaining a professional practice environment that focuses on giving the highest care to our patients. Administrative responsibilities will include creation of an annual work plan for each area, budget preparation, performance reviews, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

This position is a great fit for a licensed therapy professional (PT, OT, SLP) who wants to lead a stable program, support a dedicated team, and help drive strong clinical results. You’ll have meaningful influence on the direction of the department and the overall success of our rehab services.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the rehab department, including staffing, scheduling, and team development
  • Ensure therapy services meet quality standards and support patient-centered care
  • Collaborate with nursing, medical, and administrative teams to align care plans
  • Monitor productivity, resource use, and reimbursement processes
  • Maintain accurate, compliant documentation and oversee department budgeting
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing performance evaluations of therapy staff
  • Stay current on rehab regulations and managed care trends

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited program in a related discipline (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, etc.).
  • Valid license/credential in discipline
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
