Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead complex tax engagements across individuals, small businesses, partnerships, S corps, and nonprofits—with precision and impact.
- Act as the hands‑on quarterback for Small Business Accounting, Tax Preparation, IRS Representation, and proactive Tax Planning.
- Build deep client relationships , providing year‑round strategic tax insights.
- Lead, coach, and elevate a high‑performing team of tax professionals (onshore and offshore).
- Review and finalize complex tax returns and planning deliverables—ensuring top‑tier quality, compliance, and ethics.
- Champion process innovation , leveraging modern tools to scale operations efficiently.
- Stay ahead of tax law developments , guiding both clients and internal teams with timely counsel.
Skills & Qualifications
- Active CPA or EA credential required
- 8–10 years of experience in Small Business Accounting, Tax Preparation, Tax Issues, and Strategic Planning
- Proven leadership in crafting and executing high‑impact tax strategies
- Strong command of QuickBooks and modern tax software/automation platforms
- Track record of managing diverse client portfolios and delivering superior advisory outcomes
- Prior experience in small to mid‑size CPA firms highly preferred—you know how to move fast and wear multiple hats
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 + bonus opportunities
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, hybrid (40 hours/week; 50–55 hours during tax season)
- Paid Time Off:
- Year 1: 96 hours
- Year 2–3: 120 hours
- 6 sick days annually
- Office closed between Christmas & New Year's
