* Maintain a comprehensive NCAA compliance program for student-athletes, athletics staff, University donors/boosters, and campus partners. Collaborate with the Office of Financial Aid, Registrar's Office and the Faculty Athletic Representative to ensure alignment with NCAA and SWAC Conference regulations. Provide daily oversight and direction for the Office of Athletic Compliance staff.* Lead the execution of a robust rules education program for varying audiences, including but not limited to, student-athletes, prospective student-athletes, coaches, athletics administrators, university personnel, donors and alumni.* Serve as the department's legislative expert, staying current on NCAA, SWAC and PVAMU rules and regulations. Facilitate the university's position on proposed NCAA legislation in partnership with the President, Chief Compliance Officer, Athletics Director, and Faculty Athletic Representative. Attend and present at regional and national seminars.* Lead investigations and reporting of NCAA violations, and prepare waiver and petition requests. Serve as a key liaison for the Campus Athletic Appeals Committees. Collaborate with academic leadership on matters of academic integrity.* Serve as a member of the Athletic Director's leadership staff. Offer strategic compliance insight in high-level decision-making.* Performs other duties as assigned.* Bachelor's degree.* Four years of experience in compliance at a Division I institution, at a Division I intercollegiate athletics conference office or at the NCAA or SWAC headquarters, including management experience.* General knowledge of NCAA rules. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.* Oral and written communication skills.* Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.* Experience with NCAA Compliance Assistant (CAi) and Legislative Services Database (LSDBi) and eligibility center.* Experience with ARMS/Teamworks and monitoring software.* Ability to counsel students and parents in NCAA legislative matters.* Strong knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations.* Ability to supervise staff.**Background Check Requirements:** For more than 140 years, Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) has been igniting passion in its students.
