The Director of Operations supports development of strategic and tactical plans to accomplish goals, supervises Clinic Supervisors, guides operations across assigned offices, leads implementation teams, and implements policies and procedures adopted by Samaritan Healthcare. This is a full-time salary-exempt role.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g., business, health care, marketing, communications). Master’s Degree in health care administration, business administration, public administration, or related field (preferred but not required).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in ambulatory medical services management and/or physician practice management; multiple specialty medical practice experience preferred. Minimum 5 years’ experience in management and supervisory leadership. Knowledge of physician practice financial administration and payor reimbursement. Project planning and management; ability to oversee and coordinate multiple projects. Knowledge of legal issues relating to physician-owned practices. Excellent interpersonal skills and conflict management. Proficiency with equipment and tools listed for the department; strong presentation, analytical, and process improvement skills. Ability to handle highly confidential data; sound judgment; intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Direct Reports: Clinic Supervisor(s)
  • Indirect Reports: All clinic staff in area of oversight

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasional standing/walking; lifting, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling; occasional lifting up to 25+ lbs.
  • Good reading eyesight with full visual acuity and color perception.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, health care professionals, patients and family.
