Director of Facility Operations
The University of Missouri Department of Athletics is seeking a Director of Facility Operations responsible for the comprehensive oversight of day-to-day athletic facilities operations. This position provides leadership for facilities maintenance, custodial services, project planning, and staff development while ensuring compliance with all Departmental, University, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of all athletic facilities to ensure safe, functional, and high‑quality environments.
- Maintain facility appearance, cleanliness, and operational standards; manage equipment inventory and certification.
- Coordinate custodial and maintenance schedules to support practices, competitions, and departmental needs.
- Supervise full‑time and part‑time facilities staff, develop staffing initiatives, and evaluate performance.
- Plan and execute facility operations for athletic and external events; develop detailed event plans and layouts.
- Plan, track, prioritize, and manage facility‑related projects; coordinate with campus partners, vendors, and contractors.
- Maintain expert knowledge of professional, industry, and regulatory standards applicable to athletic facilities.
- Ensure compliance with all University, SEC, NCAA, and regulatory requirements; represent the Department in internal and external meetings.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, effectiveness, and service quality.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of comparable knowledge and skills is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in College Athletics Facility Operations is preferred.
Salary Range
$53,000 – $65,000 per year
Grade: GGS‑10
