
divh2Patient Care Assistant/h2pUnder the supervision of a RN and according to established practices and procedures the Patient Care Assistant PCA (otherwise known as Certified Nurse Assistants or CNA) facilitates the provision of patient care by performing specific tasks and support functions as delegated by the Staff RN or LPN./ppCompletion of an approved nurse aid (CNA) training course required OR one semester of a clinical nursing course./ppHigh school diploma or equivalent required./ppCurrent BLS provider./ppMust be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to:/pulliProvide care appropriate to the ages of patients served./liliDemonstrate knowledge and principles of growth and development over the life span./liliProvide the care needed as described in the unit/department policies and procedures./liliPossess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to the patients age-specific needs./liliExcellent verbal and written skills./liliMust be able to demonstrate the ability to perform required competencies (skills) within allotted time frames./liliPrevious experience in phlebotomy and EKG preferred./li/ul/div
