
Payment Processing Specialist

$27.50 per hour Schedule: Full-time, onsite Assessment test required for consideration Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payment Processing Specialist to provide business function support within various power delivery settings. This role primarily focuses on accurate posting of customer payments, including specialized payment situations, while delivering high-quality clerical and administrative support. Key Responsibilities
Accurately post assigned manual and electronic payments to customer accounts. Conduct daily research of check payments to determine correct customer accounts. Verify accuracy of postings, identify discrepancies, and reconcile payment errors. Resolve and report issues promptly and accurately. Reconcile payments on a daily basis. Create and develop customized reports using integrated systems such as Passport, PeopleSoft, Impromptu, and MS Office applications. Provide general clerical and administrative support as needed. Work on special projects as assigned. Perform other duties as requested. Qualifications
High school diploma
required. Minimum 5 years of experience
in a related area of expertise. Familiarity with power companies or utilities is a plus. Proficient with PC and mainframe applications including Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Time, EERS, and PassPort. Strong oral and written communication skills. Skills & Competencies
Excellent organizational, mathematical, and analytical ability to ensure proper payment posting. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Positive, professional demeanor. Effective interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills. Strong problem-solving abilities.
