Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Nonprofit Fundraising Specialist for a mission‑driven, community‑centered nonprofit organization committed to strengthening communities through meaningful engagement and philanthropy. This is an onsite role based in Bismarck, North Dakota.
POSITION OVERVIEW The Nonprofit Fundraising Specialist supports community engagement and fundraising efforts that advance the organization’s mission and long‑term sustainability. Working closely with senior leadership, this role builds relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners while supporting fundraising initiatives and events. This position is ideal for a collaborative, values‑driven professional who enjoys being a visible presence in the community.

RESPONSIBILITIES Build and steward positive relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners Support planning and execution of fundraising events and engagement activities Represent the organization at community meetings and public‑facing events Collaborate with leadership on donor outreach strategies and regional engagement goals Support volunteer engagement and provide guidance as needed Track engagement activities and prepare reports to support fundraising outcomes
QUALIFICATIONS Experience supporting fundraising, development, or community engagement initiatives Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain donor or partner relationships Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment Commitment to equity, inclusive practices, and ethical community engagement
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This role offers a competitive annual salary range of $55,000–$65,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
