Assistant Property Manager Salary

Assist the property manager in daily operations, resident relations, lease administration and financial reporting. Oversee supplier contracts, maintenance and compliance with laws. Responsibilities
Manage day‑to‑day property operations and resident satisfaction. Adhere to operations guidelines in the property management agreement. Collect rent, maintain rent roll and process bank deposits. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial and leasing reports. Audit records for lease expirations, delinquent accounts and legal actions. Collect delinquent balances and handle evictions, including paperwork and court appearances. Lease apartments and shop competitive properties. Inspect buildings, report maintenance needs and ensure safety and cleanliness. Process move‑ins, move‑outs and lease renewals. Verify lease agreements and resident files for accuracy. Train staff on leasing, marketing, maintenance and office operations. Compose routine correspondence, notices and memorandums. Assist with resident relations and problem resolution. Act as acting manager in the property manager’s absence. Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety rules and all applicable laws. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience
High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Two to three years of property management experience required. Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities required. Real estate license preferred or may be required locally. Experience with Yardi Voyager or equivalent system preferred. Skills and Requirements
Basic Microsoft Office Suite proficiency. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Confidentiality sensitivity. Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment. Strong technical communication skills. English reading, writing and speaking competency. General office equipment proficiency. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Organizational and time‑management skills. Ability to handle difficult situations. Valid driver’s license; clean driving record and current auto insurance required.
