Job Description
The Tech Rep will regularly travel throughout the assigned territory to work directly with retail partners—providing in-store support, merchandising guidance, and hands-on technical product clinics—to elevate the consumer experience and strengthen Sea to Summit’s reputation as one of the best brands to work with in the outdoor industry. This role will collaborate with teams to ensure a flow of relevant sales, product and consumer feedback. They will create engaging product training sessions for our internal teams and sales agencies. This position will regularly communicate and interact with regional and global teams including Sales, Product, Operations and Marketing. The Tech Rep has a passion for helping the organization enhance the consumer experience through better presentation and knowledge of our products. This position will work in tandem with various departments and maintain a flexible attitude, supporting all the work that helps in achieving organizational goals. The Tech Rep reports to the North America Sr Sales Director. The Tech Rep will travels year round and can be away for multiple days during the week including weekends and holidays. This individual must be comfortable with extensive driving and maintain valid driver’s license. Position Duties
Travel regularly throughout North America to visit and partner with retailers and sales agencies to deliver an outstanding consumer experience through product knowledge and presentation Design and deliver engaging, in-person and virtual technical product clinics to retail staff and internal teams Leads, hosts, and executes seasonal product knowledge sessions that motivate, train, and engage store associates and internal teams alike Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with retail staff, managers Track visits, clinics, and key outcomes using go spot check Provide on-the-ground insight into regional trends, consumer feedback, and competitor activity Support key retail events, clinics, demos, promotional activities and in-store activations as well a trade shows Train individuals on product features, benefits, use cases, and competitive differentiation Act as a brand ambassador, representing Sea to Summit’s values, culture, and brand promise in all interactions Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to share retailer feedback and field insights to support continuous product and program improvement Assist with periodic communications to teams around product updates, innovation or various other related items.
