You’ll provide critical administrative support for programs, events, and division operations, track expenditures, assist with forecasting, and serve as a go-to resource for staff.

Starting pay ranges from

About This Role Manages the Recreation and Neighborhood Parks Division budget, monitors reports, prepares expenditure summaries, and supports budget planning Serves as P-Card Coordinator, processing receipts, reconciling monthly statements, and ensuring compliance Initiates and tracks purchase requisitions, purchase orders, change orders, and invoices in Clerk Finance Enterprise and OnBase Acts as liaison with Procurement to ensure purchases and documentation meet county policies Manages contracts, reviews insurance and required documentation, and supports grants, RFPs, and vendor agreements Oversees procurement of supplies, materials, and services for division programs, events, and facilities Provides administrative and technical support for division-wide events, camps, and activities Assists with vendor coordination, fleet contracts, and Temporary Use Permit (TUP) processes Acts as liaison for internal departments (EIT, Fixed Assets, FEMA), maintains website content, internal knowledge bases, and coordinates marketing/public communications Work Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Work schedules may vary due to split shifts, rotations, on-call, emergencies, events, etc. Employee may be re-assigned to a different work location (other than original assignment) to meet changing service needs As a reminder, all county employees are considered essential and must be prepared to protect and support the community and its citizens. Each employee, without exception, will have a duty assignment and be required to work during a disaster or declared emergency About You Minimum Qualifications : An Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in related field
AND
four (4) years of experience in administrative experience with some executive exposure -OR-
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in or related field
AND
two (2) years of experience in administrative experience with some executive exposure -OR-
Six (6) years of experience in administrative, secretarial, or communications experience with some executive exposure and manager's discretion Valid Florida Driver's License by date of hire Preferred Qualifications : Expert skill in computer operations and software such as Microsoft Outlook and Office products and Smartsheet Experience in Parks & Recreation Knowledge of GovMax, RecTrac and other software systems Knowledge of budgeting process, experience in applying budget information Subject to Passing Substance Screening:
This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years. Fingerprint Screening:
This position is subject to a mandatory fingerprint-based background check per applicable federal, state, and/or local laws. The screening will be used to verify criminal history and other relevant information as permitted by law. An applicant who fails to pass a required screening may be disqualified from employment.
