Acquire in‑depth knowledge to be the go‑to expert of the digital printers as it relates to setup, operation, training, and maintenance. Work on multiple projects simultaneously in various design phases for both Manufacturing & R&D. Work closely with team to ensure that projects are completed according to deadlines. Edit and implement graphics to support the production of digitally printed products based on knowledge of design principles & printing capabilities. Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned to support the digital printing efforts. Assist and manage the projects associated with the development of new digitally printed products. Perform other duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team and/or company mission. Maintain safety, quality, training, & operating procedures for the digital printers. Train operators to safely operate the digital printers while producing quality products at a productive pace. Collaborate as part of a team to develop innovative products and processes which ensures WSC has a competitive advantage in the market. Develop an in‑depth understanding which facilitates the ability to operate existing digital equipment and associated processes. Troubleshoot and resolve functionality issues with OEM. Passion for innovation. Excellent creative thinking, graphic technical skills, knowledge in print process. Collaborative and team oriented, but also capable of working independently. Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers. A dedicated team player with strong interpersonal skills including: phone manner, oral and written communication. Remain highly organized, flexible and able to react well to immediate issues with attention to detail and deadlines. Motivated to go beyond the job description to ensure projects are completed by deadlines. Education / Experience
Required degree in Print Production, Graphic Design or Graphic Communications and/or relevant experience (2+ years). 2+ years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite CC: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Experience with Color Management for printing applications. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Working Demands / Physical Requirements
Conditions vary by day and can include up to 80% of time on the manufacturing floor. Occasional short‑term out‑of‑town travel. Overtime will be needed when priority projects need completion. Ability to lift up to 50 – 75 pounds at times when needed on production floor. Report To: Sr. Engineering Manager Conclusion
