Insurance Customer Service Representative – Fulltime - Chatsworth
Brought to our Chatsworth Corporate offices, the
Insurance Customer Service Representative
will assist Premier America members with insurance products offered by the credit union and help the Insurance Services Department grow and succeed.
Overview This role provides dedicated member service for insurance products and supports the success of the Insurance Services Department.
What You Will Do
Provide service to insurance policy holders, ensuring department procedures are followed and goals are achieved.
Maintain a complete understanding of the insurance products offered and educate members on the value of the products, issuing new insurance policies on the platform of all appointed carriers.
Perform policy reviews and rewrites to offer the best possible solution for members and the credit union.
Use the carriers and credit union underwriting guidelines and business appetite to complete policy endorsements and cross‑sell other suitable products to members.
Conduct every member interaction following the procedures, standards and playbook of the Property Insurance Department.
Assume responsibility for member service transactions including, but not limited to policy changes, inquiries, payments, quotes and endorsements of policies.
Complete all tasks assigned in the daily suspense queue by the end of each workday.
Document all interactions with members and insurance prospects in CMS agency management system and set suspense for follow‑up.
Requirements
Previous experience with and thorough understanding of the insurance products sold, and the terminology used in the industry.
Requires and maintains an active P&C insurance license clear of judgments in the states where the credit union conducts business.
Understands product positioning and competitive conditions.
Knowledge of Credit Union products and services.
Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques and principles.
Strong interpersonal and public relations skills.
Excellent sales abilities, with solid presentation skills.
Professional verbal and written communication skills.
Good organizational and follow‑through skills.
Good problem‑solving abilities.
Able to work well independently.
Pay Grade Info The base pay range for this position is: $23.83-29.79/Hourly.
