
Position Summary:
The person in this position is responsible for recording, editing and producing live event broadcasts, video productions and some audio productions, including documentaries, livestreams, short films, legal dispositions, and commercial, educational, training and entertainment videos.
Essential Functions of the Position:
Provides creative vision for and produces video and audio productions, including update videos, long‑form teaching series, podcasts, news/stock footage, and organization‑specific video requests (e.g., greeting from the Archbishop, recorded prayer for an event, etc.);
Transports, sets up and operates digital production equipment on location or in the studio, in the production of professional pre‑recorded and live programming;
Edits footage in post‑production;
Directs other digital contributors so that the needed product is acquired;
Maintains equipment inventory and completes troubleshooting and preventive maintenance reports on video and audio production equipment; assists in repair and upkeep of studio and production sets and properties;
Provides raw and edited videos to members of the Office of Communications’ Digital Content Team for use across Archdiocesan platforms;
Maintains digital production schedules and a video library/archive of stock footage;
Keeps up to date on latest video and audio technology and techniques;
Coordinates with Office of Communications Project Manager and team to maintain brand consistency and quality control of associated products (e.g., video and flyers have same logo and copy);
Provides training and guidance to ACC offices/staff;
Provides professional guidance and recommendations in response to video‑ and audio‑related inquiries from clergy and parish staff;
Performs miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
