Director, Digital Lead, Pharma Commercial Data US
As the Director, Digital Lead Pharma Commercial Data US, you fully understand the dynamics of our commercial data, challenge the status quo, and orchestrate digital activities where Data & Digital Technology contribute to achieving commercial goals and identifying value potential – always with a patient-first mindset. This role is pivotal in integrating local market business and technology insights into the broader global data architecture, ensuring alignment with both local and headquarter organizations. You will be part of a larger commercial technology leaders team, identifying value potential through new digital solutions and products, selecting the most value-creating activities in an environment with limited budgets, more channels, more data, and increasing customer expectations. The primary location for this role is Whippany, NJ, with a hybrid on-site arrangement. Candidates must be domiciled within reasonable commute to the Whippany, NJ site.
Responsibilities
Fully understand the dynamics of commercial data in the US Pharmaceuticals industry Act as the senior technology leader in collaboration with the US Insights and Analytics teams Align with local and headquarter organizations to integrate local market business and technology insights into the broader global data architecture Identify value potential through new digital solutions/products as part of the larger commercial technology leaders team Lead solutions/technologies to foster sustainable and faster data usage and insight generation Orchestrate activities where data and digital technology contribute to achieving Bayer Pharma commercial goals and identifying value potential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, information science, or equivalent with 12+ years of experience Several years of professional experience in a related IT role within the pharma industry Deep understanding of the US Pharmaceutical industry and types of datasets utilized within the industry Deep understanding of data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake (or related) Experience in leadership roles with good intercultural understanding and experience Commercial and financial acumen to manage large budgets and create value for the company Strong communication skills, analytical, structural, and strategic skills, with a proven track record of working with external vendors This posting will be available for application until at least 2/9/2026. Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $147,040-$220,560. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
