Schedule:
Part-time — Tuesdays and Thursdays required, with the possibility of Wednesdays
Job Description Our Estate Planning and Probate law firm in Shallotte, NC is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting & Marketing Assistant. This role plays a key part in supporting the firm’s marketing efforts, accounting functions, and execution of legal documents, along with general office assistance. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, trustworthy, and comfortable handling sensitive financial and legal information in a professional office environment.
Primary Responsibilities 1. Marketing & Business Development
Assisting with basic marketing and business promotion efforts, including social media updates, website coordination, and community outreach
Supporting firm visibility and branding initiatives
Assisting with special marketing projects as needed
Performing accounting and financial support tasks using Clio
Managing billing, invoicing, and payment processing
Tracking expenses and assisting with financial reporting
Ensuring accuracy and consistency of financial records
Serving as a witness for estate planning and other legal documents
Additional Responsibilities:
Providing general administrative support to the team
Greeting clients in person and by phone
Running local errands as needed (bank, courthouse, post office, office supply runs)
Supporting special projects and day-to-day office operations
Qualifications & Required Skills:
Prior accounting experience required
Experience with Clio or willingness to learn quickly
Proficiency in Office 365, Google Suite, and Zoom
Strong typing skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial and legal information
Valid NC driver’s license and reliable transportation
Clean criminal history
Professional demeanor and ability to work independently
Prior law firm or professional office experience preferred
Part-time position
Required days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Possible additional day: Wednesday
No evenings or weekend hours
