Primary Responsibilities

Lead business development efforts by collaborating with outside sales associates to expand light commercial HVAC, water-source heat pump, and specialty product market share.

Develop sales plans and critical initiatives to protect, grow and diversify relationships with targeted customers.

Assist in establishing inventory levels through effective forecasting activities and uphold pricing discipline to maximize profitability.

Partner with Commercial Mechanical, HVAC and Res Trade teams to grow market share and increase share of wallet and new business development.

Coordinate with the local Light Commercial quotations team to ensure alignment on pricing, product specifications, and customer requirements.

Collaborate with Sales team to align commercial HVAC product strategy with sales execution in the field.

Support face-to-face and remote sales to new customers and cross/up/repeat sales to existing customers.

Drive over-market growth by driving performance and visibility of available brands within the Region.

Prioritize vendor-led training sessions and deliver in-depth product training and demonstrations to internal teams and customers.

Work closely with TSA team to improve market efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.

This role will spend approximately 60% of time in the field with sales reps and customers.

Hands-on in pricing and bid execution, with direct ownership of vendor cost collaboration and the development of customer-facing quotes and bid packages through internal systems and resources.

Qualifications

5+ years of proven experience in technical sales, product support or related field.

Possesses specialized product knowledge in a single product or product line.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to present concepts to diverse audiences.

Strong collaboration skills and a customer-first mindset.

Solid understanding of commercial products and systems, product positioning, and customer application.

Candidate must live in market.

Pay Range: $6,416.67 - $10,775.00

Estimated ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles or Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible. Ferguson complies with all wage regulations. Starting wages may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
