Summary The Marketing Manager guides the winery’s overall brand, marketing, and offsite events strategy, ensuring all efforts support guest engagement, sales growth, and company goals. This role oversees budget planning, leads the Brand & Offsite Events Coordinator, manages key marketing platforms and guest-facing programs, and maintains strong relationships with media, partners, and community organizations. The position also stewards major initiatives such as website management, reservation systems, and wine competition participation while supporting cross-departmental needs and key company events.

Key Duties

Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive marketing plans and campaigns aligned with the winery’s business goals

Prepare and manage the annual marketing budget, tracking expenses and ensuring spending stays within approved limits

Lead and mentor the Brand & Offsite Event Coordinator and other marketing or event support staff

Oversee the Offsite Events Department, providing leadership and approvals while ensuring all events operate within budget.

Oversees advertising, promotions, partnerships, public relations, and key guest experience programs, including online reservations, tasting room menus, and in-house layout and design

Oversee and implement all digital marketing efforts, including website development and maintenance (WordPress, Commerce7), SEO, email marketing, texting, and social media strategy

Manage the Tock reservation platform, including publishing schedules every 6 months, blacking out dates as needed, and ensuring SKUs are accurate and current

Assist the Tasting Room team with large-scale menu updates, including creating item descriptions, writing compelling names, and ensuring accuracy across all channels

Plan and manage advertising schedules and contracts with vendors and media partners

Collaborate with the Tasting Room, Wine Club, Events, and Tours teams to develop integrated promotions and guest experiences

Build and maintain relationships with local tourism boards, media outlets, and community partners to expand brand reach

Develop and maintain the winery’s visual and written brand standards across all channels

Coordinate creation of photo/video content and maintain the digital asset library

Manage incoming donation requests, vetting and approving requests that align with the winery’s community and brand goals

Analyze marketing and event performance data, prepare regular reports on KPIs and ROI, and adjust strategies as needed

Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation

Represent the winery at meetings, industry events, and in the community as needed

Pitch in on special projects, major events (such as the annual Tilted Earth fundraiser), and other duties as needed to support the winery’s overall success and team goals

Work closely with the GM to set clear marketing and event goals that support the overall business strategy

Manage onsite visits and coordinates interviews and visits from media, trade, and industry partners

Manage wine competition participation, including tasting evaluations and coordinating all submittal requirements

Requirements

3–5 years of professional marketing and/or event management experience, preferably in wine, hospitality, tourism, or a related industry

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred

Proven experience creating and managing budgets, tracking ROI, and reporting on financials

Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills

Direct experience with event operations, including staffing, lodging, licensing, POS setup, inventory coordination, and cash handling

Familiarity with reservation platforms such as Tock, or willingness to learn quickly

Experience collaborating on guest-facing menus and related content

Proficiency with social media platforms, email marketing tools, website CMS (WordPress), and Commerce7

Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design tools

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and travel within Arizona for offsite events as needed

Ability to obtain Arizona Title 4 Liquor Certification and Food Handlers Certification

Compensation

Starting salary: $60,000 annually, depending on experience (DOE) and qualifications
