Outside Sales Representative As an Outside Sales Representative with Baschmann Services, Inc., you will be the voice and primary point of contact for our company throughout our Niagara and Erie County territory. In this role, you’ll be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships within but not limited to the following areas: Niagara County and regions within Erie County including Buffalo, NY.
The ideal candidate will have experience selling construction / earthmoving, aggregate production, agricultural or related equipment. We're looking for candidates who are ambitious, outgoing and have a passion for building strong, life‑long relationships that result in customer loyalty to our line of products and services. This role will report to the Earthmoving Equipment Sales Manager.
Pay Range $70,000 - $100,000 per year. Salary + Commission
Work Hours Monday - Friday, 1st Shift / Day Shift, additional hours as needed

Essential Job Responsibilities
Drive revenue growth and increase market share through daily territory management including visits to current and potential customer job sites and offices
Target and exceed quotas by selling new, used and rental equipment to contractors, municipalities, aggregate producers and farms.
Prospect and qualify new accounts through cold calling efforts
Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing customers to increase sales and customer loyalty
Utilize exceptional sales and consultative skills to understand customer needs and requirements, and recommend the appropriate equipment and services to meet those needs
Manage company sales processes including the preparation and execution of sales action plans and strategies that lead to successful demonstration opportunities and convert to sales
Develop demonstrations of company products and present appropriate services options to meet customer needs
Negotiate sales contracts and close deals effectively
Manage equipment rental processes including coordinating logistics for delivery and performing periodic onsite inspections
Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records of daily sales activities and customer interactions in the Customer Relationship Management System (CRM)
Attend industry trade shows and events to promote company products and services
Demonstrate a high level of customer service and professionalism
Identify, manage and prioritize urgent and high pressure situations
Promote and follow company policies and customer safety guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of successful outside sales experience
Prior experience and/or working knowledge of construction, aggregate production, agricultural and/or related equipment preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Exceptional relationship building and communication skills (verbal and written) with customers and fellow team members
Ability to communicate, interact, work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse backgrounds
Strong organization, planning, problem solving and negotiation skills
Proficient in working with computers and software programs including Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Google Sheets
Prior experience with CRM software (Zendesk) a plus
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Work Environment & Travel
Daily travel required (at 90% of the role). Candidates will be responsible for driving a vehicle daily to meet with customers throughout their territory.
Role will involve working with contractors and aggregate producers. Candidates hired into this role will be exposed to outdoor elements and dusty conditions daily.
Candidates hired into this role will be required to reside/live within their assigned territory
Physical & Mental Demands This Role Requires The Candidates Hired To
Drive a motor vehicle for long distances
Perform extensive standing, walking and climbing
Bend, stoop and climb to reach products and/or materials
Move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Use stairs and ladders to access equipment
Operate, test and conduct inspections of equipment to detect safety concerns
Use standard office equipment
Effectively complete tasks in a noisy environment
Effectively apply established protocols in a timely manner
