This position supports the DT&I contracting function by coordinating, preparing, routing, and tracking contract documentation for digital and innovation-related technology engagements. The Contract Specialist ensures contract packages are complete, accurate, and moved forward in a timely manner. This position also maintains contract data, supports reporting needs, and contributes to process improvement and analysis activities that enhance DT&I’s ability to evaluate contracting effectiveness and support innovation pod stage gates. The Specialist is responsible for overseeing the assembly of contracting packages, submittal within the relevant systems, and facilitation of administrative activities throughout the contract lifecycle. This includes working with DT&I business owners, potential vendors, ITG Contracting, Legal, and other internal parties involved in the process. Success will be defined as the timely and accurate completion of contract packages, clear and proactive communication with stakeholders, and consistent support of DT&I’s contracting needs across all stages of the innovation lifecycle. What you will do in this role:

Prepare, review, and process routine agreements, approval requests, and other related documentation using approved templates

Assemble contract packages by gathering required forms and supporting materials from internal teams and vendors

Act as a central point of contact for internal stakeholders and vendors regarding required documentation, pending approvals, status updates, and next steps

Support reporting and light analysis on cycle times, volumes, accuracy, and contract activity that informs stage-gate reviews

Identify recurring documentation or process issues and recommend improvements to templates or information requirements

Assist in updating reference materials, standard operating procedures, and job aids related to contract preparation and routing

Maintain accurate contract metadata and perform validation and cleanup across repositories

Collaborate with internal partners such as the ITG Contracting team, Legal, DT&I Risk Pod, and others in execution of DT&I contracting related activities

Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance speed and accuracy in the contracting process

Support other Value Tracking Analysis and Solutions initiatives or projects as needed

What qualifications you will need:

Bachelor's degree - Required

3+ years of experience in contract administration or legal operations – Required

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) - Required

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) - Required

Strong analytical and negotiation skills - Preferred

Experience with contract lifecycle management systems - Preferred

Familiarity with technology or healthcare-related contracting - Preferred

Exposure to project support or process improvement methodologies - Preferred

Work Location/Schedule:

Nashville, TN area (near Centennial Park)

Onsite: M-F, 8am – 5pm

Travel Required:

Occasional Travel: The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis.
