About The Role
Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is looking for a Full-time Commercial Loan Officer II for our Sandy branch.
Duties and Responsibilities
Originate new loan commitments each year in accordance with the Bank’s incentive compensation plan.
Generate and manage a loan portfolio of $15-20 million or higher with the overall objective of maintaining and increasing its asset quality and generating fee income.
Manage construction, CRE, SBA, consumer, and C&I loans, ensuring compliance with loan terms and conditions, collecting on past due loans, covenant monitoring, accurate loan grading, and completing other monitoring reports as assigned in a timely manner.
Take applications for loan business and analyze the degree of risk involved in making a credit decision.
Call on new and existing customers to expand and develop relationships with an emphasis on attracting new and additional loans, deposits, and other Bank products.
Work with a team to prepare and present loans for approval.
Process loan renewals and extension requests.
Review all loan documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance and clearly review the details of the approved loan with the customer.
Maintain a growth in profitable loan volume, manage delinquency and charge-off rates, and ensure lending operations align with Bank policies and procedures.
Comply with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, OFAC).
Stay current on bank policies, procedures, processes, products, and services through ongoing learning activities.
Respond in a timely manner to internal audits and other management reporting requests.
Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frames and seek clarification or additional training as needed.
Adhere to Altabank Core Values.
Keep management informed of area activities and significant problems.
Participate in Community Service and Bank-sponsored activities that support the mission and values of Altabank.
Provide superior internal and external customer service with professionalism, confidentiality, and teamwork.
Represent Altabank in a professional manner, maintain customer privacy, and attend required meetings.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance to support in-person customer contact.

Qualifications
Two to five years of similar or related experience.
A college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Experience analyzing business financial statements and other data for risk assessment.
Understanding of business entity structures.
Knowledge of bank products, lending law, and compliance requirements.
Good computer skills, including CRM tools.
Good communication and writing skills.
Strong managerial skills.
Ability to interact calmly and professionally with a diverse range of people.
Ability to maintain regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
Ability to adapt to change and manage time, analysis, and problem-solving effectively.
Ability to interpret various instructions and work with variable inputs.
Ability to compute financial figures and perform basic algebra.
Ability to understand complex sentences and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
Work Environment
Frequent local travel; average 2-3 days per week.
No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions; typical office environment.
Sitting for extended periods; ability to lift up to 10 lbs occasionally.
