About the Position This full-time position will have the responsibility of assisting the Superintendent in providing exceptional golf courses for Grey Oaks’ Members and.
As with all positions, the position will continually exemplify and promote the core values, mission, and culture of the Grey Oaks Country Club team.
This position reports to the Superintendent of Golf.
About Grey Oaks Country Club Considered one of the premier Country Clubs in Florida, Grey Oaks opened in 1993 and encompasses the Grey Oaks and Estuary communities, along with 54 holes of championship golf. The Club’s facilities include a 63,000-square‑foot east clubhouse, 12,000-square‑foot golf shop, golf performance center, 30,000-square‑foot wellness center, sports center, and the pool café, a 22,000-square‑foot complex with indoor and outdoor dining overlooking an expansive resort‑style pool with a wading entrance, waterfall, and lap lanes. Additionally, The Estuary offers a 20,000-square‑foot clubhouse with indoor and outdoor dining overlooking the golf course, as well as a pro‑golf shop and his‑and‑her locker and card rooms.

About You You are a professional with a keen interest and experience in golf course maintenance and management. You have the ability to effectively and comfortably lead others. You are adept at effectively communicating with all types of people. You are organized, a problem solver, and highly proactive. You understand that service is at the heart of your job.

Primary Responsibilities
Participate in the long‑ and short‑term planning related to golf course renovations, care & maintenance
Lead the team by delegating daily assignments; provide guidance and assistance and ensure work is completed as expected and in a timely manner
Lead projects related to course renovations or repairs
Assist in the training of new and existing staff in golf course set‑up and maintenance, equipment operations, safety procedures and the expectations of the Club
Identify, evaluate, and recommend corrective action for agronomic problem areas
Assist in the daily set‑up and maintenance of the golf course, including routine golf course maintenance, chemical applications, and equipment operations
Observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly and ensure that we provide a safe workplace for our team
All other duties as assigned by management
Education & Experience
3–5+ years’ experience in golf course maintenance, preferably with experience leading teams in that arena
Have an active Pesticide Applicator License for the state of Florida, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire
An Associate’s or bachelor’s degree strongly desired
A certificate in Turf Management or related experience strongly desired
