What You’ll Do As an Account Manager – Customer Development, you will lead profitable share growth for our brands by building strong, collaborative partnerships with key retail customers and distributor teams.
You’ll spend time in the field driving execution of chain priorities, developing joint business plans, presenting new item opportunities, and uncovering growth across brick‑and‑mortar, e‑commerce, and third‑party platforms.
Using market, sales, and forecast data alongside Category Management, you’ll identify strategic initiatives, maximize distribution and visibility, and translate insight into measurable revenue and profit gains.
You’ll work cross‑functionally with buyers, marketing, e‑commerce, operations, and senior leaders, partnering closely with Distributor Management to align regional and corporate objectives.
This role values intrapreneurship and ownership: think boldly, act with initiative, manage resources to customer tiering, and continuously improve distribution, shelf, cold box, visibility, and retailer advocacy standards.
You’ll champion digital commercialization, support succession development, maintain compliance, and represent Gallo in the community.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of Gallo or Gallo-affiliated distributor sales experience; or Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of CPG sales/account management experience; or high school diploma plus 6 or 7 years of the above experience.

Valid driver’s license, safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable).
MVR will be required.
Liquor license required by state/locality.
Travel by air and automobile up to 50% of the time; travel to company offices and events up to 5% of the time.
Must be 18 years or older.

Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales or category development experience, including a prior rotation as Market Development Manager or similar, or Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of external alcohol sales experience with account management experience.
