Position Summary The VP of Venue Management will oversee various independent business units within their portfolio of accounts. They will be responsible for leading and managing daily operations to achieve business goals, maximize service levels, and enhance profitability. As a VP of Venue Management, the leadership of Team Members within the portfolio may be accomplished by setting performance objectives, evaluating, and optimizing operational performance, ensuring regulatory and company standards are upheld, and preparing operations and financial reports among other means. This role serves as SFC's liaison with current and potential clients. Leading, coaching and managing Team Members, ensuring venues operate smoothly, and achieving revenue targets rely on a VP of Venue Management that can perform efficiently in a high‑pressure environment, project managing several fluid situations simultaneously while demonstrating excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Candidates may come from privately owned venues, municipally owned sports convention or sports complexes, or park and recreation responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities

Develop and maintain active contact with the Client/Contract Administrator in support of ideal relationships and account retention

Develop and implement facility goals in accordance with the management contract, the Client's objectives, corporate policy, and good business practice

Prepare and maintain required and necessary reports/records for the Client/Contract Administrator and the Home Office

Conduct sales, marketing, budgeting, and weekly staff meetings

Direct the development and administer the execution of operating and marketing financial plans and documents, including operating revenue and expense budgets and capital expense plans and budgets

Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations to clients

Accountable for the performance of the venues within their account portfolio

Provide leadership to the venue's operational teams in support of company objectives, culture, vision, and standards of excellence

Support the personal and professional development of team members

Act as the liaison between the venues and all resources provided by the Home Office, including personnel departments, tools and software, vendors, and the document library

Develop sales and marketing strategies

Ensure all safety and compliance standards are met at the highest level

Perform various administrative tasks

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, advertising, marketing, or related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education

Minimum of 10+ years of experience in business, business sales, marketing, or related field

Expert level command of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and ability to learn new software platforms quickly

Creativity and organization

Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership abilities

Ability to develop lasting professional relationships with clients

Appropriate business acumen while participating/interacting in office meetings

Exceptional communication and presentation skills

Professional writing skills when representing the company in documents, email, or other written methods

Travel Requirements

Willing to travel up to 60% of the time

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Must be able to lift 20 pounds waist high

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while operating a computer

Office environment with intermittent noise, normal in nature

Must be able to travel
