
Junior Property Manager - Bronx, NY | $45,000–$50,000/year | Full-Time (In-person)

Equal Access is partnering with a full service real estate firm located in the Riverdale section of the Bronx; specializing in the development, construction and management of high-quality affordable housing. For more than 75 years the firm has been developing, managing, and preserving thousands of affordable apartments. We successfully manage a growing portfolio of over 6,000 residential units across the New York City area. Comprised of market rate, stabilized and affordable housing properties mostly in upper Manhattan, the Bronx and Brooklyn’s portfolio continues to grow.
Position Summary The candidate for Junior property manager will be a liaison between tenants, vendors, and Property Managers to assist in building repairs, reporting, work orders, customer service and administration. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of Housing Preservation Development (HPD), Section 8/NYCHA, Court stipulations and NYC Department of Sanitation (DSS) violations; this candidate should be pleasant, professional, with high energy and expert problem solving skills as well as punctual.
Responsibilities
Interacting with Vendors, Tenants, Superintendents, Managers, etc.
Track and follow-up with Managers for any outstanding issues
Maintain calendar in outlook, prepare documents in Word and Excel
Making day to day decisions
Create work orders for repairs that pertain to violations and obtain completed signatures from tenants.
Prepare, mail and follow-up on letters for tenant issues.
High volume of phone calls, scanning, emailing and filing/maintaining files.
Work on projects assigned pertaining to violation removals/violation compliance through completion.
Copy and distribute documents. Perform related duties as assigned
Other duties assigned by management
Requirements
Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
Must have a High School Diploma or GED
Must be able to work a Full-Time job
Highly attentive to detail & extremely organized
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook-Calendars/E-Mail
Must have good Communication Skills
Ability to Multi-Task and work in team setting
Must have valid Driver License
Other Requirements
Ability to sit at a desk for long periods of time, use of a computer, stare at one or more monitors, type, and talk on the phone for long periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 10 lbs., sit for long periods of time, bend, reach, pull. Travel independently up and down stairs
Hours - Monday-Friday hours may vary between 9AM and 5PM
