Sea Export Freight Forwarding Agent
who thrives on coordination, communication, and making things happen across borders.
Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate the accurate and timely movement of ocean freight from origin to destination in alignment with customer service level standards.
Ensure legal compliance with all export regulations, including export administration, licensing, and government-controlled requirements.
Prepare rate quotations and route international traffic for outbound freight.
Prepare and manage essential documentation such as BLs, HBLs, SEDs, and cargo manifests.
Possess working knowledge of LCL (Less than Container Load) and FCL (Full Container Load) processes.
Maintain daily communication with customers, agents, and internal colleagues to ensure service excellence.
Ensure all customer contact information is accurately recorded in the CRM system.
Keep customer profile instructions updated and current.
Work with ocean carriers and other vendors providing services to LEMAN and its customers.
Maintain and grow business within the assigned customer portfolio.
Ensure accurate and timely invoicing for both customers and agents.
Verify that LEMAN receives correct and timely billings from vendors and agents.
Escalate customer complaints to branch management and the appropriate commercial owner.
Close files promptly once complete, ensuring profit and loss statements are run and working files are properly archived.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics customer service
Solid understanding of ocean export operations
AES knowledge and experience preferred
Experience with CargoWise (a plus)
Familiarity with Dangerous goods requirements and/or pharma trade
Comfort working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
