General function :
The Asset Protection (AP) Specialist would monitor the Access Control System; CCTV System and investigate internal/external theft concerns within an assigned facility. The AP Consultant is also responsible for completing facility audits, responding to critical incidents involving retail stores, additional assignments, and other projects designated by their supervisor. Consultant would be involved in AP command center support including Critical incident intake / output, remote support of retail locations, technical support of security applications & systems.
Major Duties And Responsibilities :
Maintain the day-to-day operation of the Velocity Access System and the CCTV System.
Complete all duties and projects in a timely manner as assigned by AP Management Team.
Perform facility audits for safety and insurance purposes.
Monitors and Reviews CCTV system.
Analyzes collected data (i.e. – Metrics, Exterior Patrols, Access Control).
Reports any hazardous or unsafe condition to the Manager on Duty (MOD).
Carries out job responsibilities in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to themselves, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.
Provides support to AP Command Center operations.
Communication with others:
INTERNAL – Asset Protection internal and Field, HR, Facility Services, and all Functional Departments
EXTERNAL – None
Knowledge and skills:
Possess and demonstrate good oral and written communication skills;
Demonstrate good time-management and prioritization skills.
Demonstrate the ability to detect and evaluate unusual behavior and circumstances.
Demonstrate and maintain excellent customer service levels with all whom they come in contact with.
Ability to interact with all levels of management and civil authorities, as necessary.
Knowledge of basic computer office tools such as Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
Project management abilities / Task oriented.
Ability to work independently and / or with a team.
Insights regarding process improvements that can be made.
High School Diploma or equivalent
2+ years retail Asset Prevention/Retail Loss Prevention experience
Possesses and demonstrates good oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrates good time-management and prioritization skills.
Demonstrates and maintains excellent customer service levels with all whom they come in contact with
Knowledge of basic computer office tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
Open availability, able to work nights and weekends as needed and within reason.
