Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to read and locate plant material in the yard Physical abilities include working in weather conditions such as the heat, cold, and rain. Walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods of time. Ability to lift and unload plant materials up to 50 lbs. Ability to manage high stress and fast paced environment Required to be clean and neat to have a professional appearance Work independently on assigned nursery tasks Proactively identify work that needs to be done and following through to completion Ability to work respectively as a team with co-workers Timely and dependable attendance Energetic, friendly, self-motivated Day time and weekend availability
Specific Qualifications:
5-10 years in the nursery/ landscape industry Artistic ability to produce a landscape drawing on graph paper Proven ability to read and understand blueprint Advanced proficiency in M.S. Office, specifically excel and word Plant knowledge and identification Strong mathematical skills Attention to detail and highly organized
Description JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position involves coordinating phone calls of potential customers and repeat customers to set up site visits and evaluating their landscape needs. The landscape designer will prepare a professional proposal, meet with clients to select plant material, and provide a hand drawing. The associate will execute jobs with laborers and equipment, within time and budget to jobs specifications.
Salary & Benefits Wage:

In1949, just four years after the close of World War II, Blueview Nurseries was founded by the Cogliano family.
The new nursery was conveniently located along Route 138 in Canton, MA, at the base of the Big Blue Hill.
In1958, during the building of Route 128, the Nursery was forced to relocate to the corner of Routes 95 and 128 in Canton, MA, where it remained for forty years.
In1996, Blueview Nurseries moved to its current location at 200 Bay Road in Norton, MA.
At Blueview Nurseries, our primary concern is satisfying you, our customer.
For those of you who are not interested in 'do it yourself' landscape projects, we have professional staff to do it for you.
