Position Overview We are seeking a
Senior Director, Low Power Marketing
to lead global marketing strategy for our low power conversion product lines. This role is pivotal in driving growth across key segments such as USB-PD adapters, mid-power resonant converters, metering, EV systems, AI, and datacenter applications.
Key Responsibilities
Own Low Power and emerging solutions portfolio strategy across AC-DC, auxiliary, and embedded power domains
Expand PI’s value proposition from components to complete, system-relevant solutions
Define platform and solution positioning, value propositions, and competitive differentiation
Drive roadmap, investment, and prioritization inputs aligned to long-term market transitions
Partner with Product Development and Applications Engineering to shape solution-level product definitions
Lead market and customer engagement to validate system architectures, requirements, and adoption barriers
Guide go-to-market strategy and launch intent in collaboration with Outbound Marketing
Oversee market sizing, opportunity prioritization, and competitive analysis
Represent PI as a technical and strategic evangelist with key customers and ecosystem partners
Lead and develop matrixed Product / Segment Marketing talent
Travel extensively to support global business development and customer engagement.
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field.
10+ years of experience in product marketing, business development, or technical sales within semiconductor or power conversion industries.
Deep technical knowledge of AC-DC topologies (USB-PD, resonant converters, flyback, forward converters).
Familiarity with target markets: power tools, servers, utility meters, EV systems, AI/data centers.
Proven success in global customer engagement, especially in Asia.
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
Ideal Candidate Traits
Analytical mindset with ability to translate market data into actionable strategies.
Entrepreneurial attitude and persuasive presentation skills.
Comfortable with frequent travel (≥50%).
Compensation and Benefits The annual base pay range for this position is $240,000 to $300,000.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, qualifications and work location. The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position in California. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
