Your New Role
The Temporary position of Associate Producer on the B/R Access Team plays a vital role in Bleacher Report’s production efforts, traveling to major sporting events and media days to capture and produce compelling content across B/R and its portfolio brands. This role will be responsible for driving on-site execution, managing talent and production flow, and supporting the team through pre‑production, production, and post‑production.
Night and weekend work is part of the job, and travel is required.
We’re seeking detail‑oriented, sports‑loving individuals with a passion for the digital landscape and the ability to perform in fast‑paced, live‑event environments.
Role Accountabilities
Lead end‑to‑end on‑site content production across a wide range of sporting events, from creative development and planning through on‑site execution and final delivery. Serve as the primary field lead responsible for shoot flow, talent management, and real‑time problem‑solving during athlete shoots, media days, and live events. Own assigned projects from start to finish, driving the Access team through pre‑production, production, and post‑production. Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines. Plan and execute production logistics, including scheduling, run‑of‑show creation, talent prep, call sheets, and coordination with internal teams and external partners. Develop creative concepts and formats, contributing to brainstorms and talent research aligned with Bleacher Report’s voice and audience. Work with editors and producers in post, shaping story structure, reviewing cuts, providing notes, and ensuring content meets editorial and creative standards. Manage footage and assets, including logging, organization, tracking, and delivery. Maintain accurate trackers, selects, links, and notes for seamless post workflows. Oversee project timelines, ensuring content stays on schedule from shoot through delivery, and proactively flagging risks or delays. Stay deeply informed on sports news and digital trends, identifying opportunities for timely, relevant content and pitching new ideas when appropriate. Manage on‑site talent experience, including coordination, communication, and relationship building with athletes, agents, and PR teams. Support crew and vendor coordination, including camera, audio, and equipment rentals, as well as on‑site staffing needs. Be available for irregular hours and travel, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and multi‑day events.
Qualifications and Experience
1‑3+ years of experience in sports media, digital content, field production, or social media production. Strong working knowledge of the NBA, NFL, and college sports, with a solid understanding of the broader sports and pop culture landscape. Proven ability to juggle multiple projects, manage details, and operate in fast‑paced, live‑event environments. Creative thinker with strong instincts for what performs on social and digital platforms.
Compensation
Pay Range: $48,048.00 - $89,232.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short‑ and long‑term incentives, and program‑specific awards.
