FLSA Status: Exempt
Leader Level: Team Leader
Hiring Range: $44,500 - $46,000 annually
Reports to: Executive Director
Supervises: Wellness Programs, Personal Training and Offsite Programs, Wellness Center Staff, Group Exercise Staff and Volunteers

Job Responsibilities
Direct and administer total operation of the Wellness Department including interpretation and execution of established policies, development of procedures and methods, staffing, evaluation of program effectiveness and operation.
Plan and conduct a wide variety of wellness programs and activities that maximize facility availability, support the Cause and enhance membership.
Create a nurturing and safe environment by reporting suspicious activity that may lead to child abuse or violate the code of conduct. Ensure the safety and maintenance of high quality facilities, grounds, and equipment by keeping supplies organized and maintaining care of equipment.
Promote and monitor membership and/or program growth, taking a leadership role in membership cultivation and retention.
Staff and Volunteer Management
Recruit, hire, supervise and develop department staff and volunteers through use of Leadership Competency Model resources that create a culture of cause-driven leaders.
Lead and/or participate in a branch committee(s).
Conduct monthly staff meetings to keep staff and volunteers well informed.
Support branch Y Community Champions efforts.
Finance
Prepare annual department(s) budget for approval by the Executive Director.
Recommend adjustments and administer the budget, exercising necessary expense controls and revenue production.
Community Development
Represent and promote the YMCA in the local community and develop positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities.
Promote and communicate the objectives and programs of the YMCA through public communication media.
Actively participate in community organizations.
Financial Development
Incorporate storytelling in an effort to advance our mission and cause.
Participate in Annual Campaign efforts.
Identify and recruit Annual Campaign volunteers.
Lead and/or participate in branch special events for fundraising or mission advancement.
Operating Values
Serve as a member of branch management and support the branch and association objectives of the YMCA.
Teach, role model and promote SMART behavior.
Strategic
Support the GPS initiatives by participating on a Commitment Team.
Advance our work in Youth Development, Healthy Living, Volunteerism and Philanthropy.

Position Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in field required. Master's Degree in related field preferred.
Must have a minimum 3 years experience in related field and 2 years experience in management or supervision.
Must meet YMCA of the Suncoast driving criteria.
Y-USA Team leader, Multi Team Leader or Organizational Leader Certification preferred.
Must maintain current CPR/First Aid certification and National Certification as a Personal Trainer.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time as well as squat, stoop or bend into awkward positions. Must be able to carry and spot up to 50 pounds. Visual and auditory observation of staff, volunteers and members required.
Must be able to multi task, manage and cultivate relationships as well as have a high level of emotional maturity.
Must have strong communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills. Must also have strong organizational skills.
