
We have an immediate opening for a Technical Writer in our Bellingham, WA facility. We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer with strong mechanical aptitude to create clear, accurate, and user-focused documentation to include user data sheets, warning labels, instruction sheets, and manuals for a variety of machines. This role requires the ability to translate complex technical and mechanical concepts into accessible content working closely with inspectors and engineers around the globe in the company, including Product Development, Parts, Technical Support, Service, Marketing, and Products.
A typical workday can be quite varied, including writing and page layout work at the computer; removing a new machine from its box, assembling it, setting it up, and adjusting it; working closely with our in-house photographers and editing photos; drawing simple illustrations to enhance the usability of written instructions; or thoroughly reviewing exploded-view diagrams and parts lists to ensure that they are accurate. This position requires a very high degree of attention to detail. The position participates in an extensive proofing process, so the candidate must be comfortable with giving and getting regular constructive criticism of their work.

Job Requirements
High degree of mechanical aptitude
Very high attention to detail
Strong experience with machinery, mechanics, or power tools
A college degree (or related work experience) in technical documentation, writing, or communications
Two- Four years of technical writing experience
Experience of at least two years using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop required
A strong work ethic
High degree of ingenuity, confidence, and resilience
