Salary Range: $44,866.81 To $56,083.51 Annually

SUMMARY

Responsible for driving loan and deposit growth by proactively engaging existing and prospective members through outbound and inbound calls. Identify financial needs, build trusted relationships, and deliver personalized lending, deposit, and protection solutions while meeting defined sales and service performance goals. Ensure a high-quality member experience by providing knowledgeable guidance, maintaining regulatory compliance, and promoting the credit union’s full suite of financial products and digital services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Proactively conduct outbound and inbound calls to existing and prospective members to promote consumer loan products, deposit accounts, and credit union services.

Meet or exceed established monthly sales, referral, and participation goals related to loan production, deposit account openings, and ancillary products including GAP, Credit Life, Credit Disability, and Vehicle Service Contracts.

Identify member financial needs through consultative discussions and recommend appropriate lending and deposit solutions, including checking, savings, money market, and certificate accounts.

Open, fund, and service deposit accounts in accordance with credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Build and maintain strong, long-term member relationships by delivering personalized service, proactive follow-up, and ongoing financial solutions.

Generate new business opportunities by soliciting referrals from existing members and responding to member inquiries via phone and email.

Educate members on promotions, product features, pricing, and cost-saving opportunities related to loans, deposit accounts, and bundled relationship solutions.

Counsel members on creditworthiness, cash flow, and savings strategies to support informed financial decision-making.

Accurately process loan applications, deposit account openings, and related documentation using automated loan origination, account opening, and CRM systems.

Ensure all member interactions, account openings, and documentation comply with credit union policies, procedures, privacy standards, and applicable lending and deposit regulations.

Conduct follow-up contacts to ensure member satisfaction, complete funding or account setup, and identify additional cross-sell opportunities.

Coordinate with back-office, operations, underwriting, and compliance teams to resolve documentation issues, account exceptions, or credit-related matters.

Promote and educate members on digital banking services, alternative delivery channels, and self-service tools to enhance convenience and engagement.

Adhere to proper call handling, call transfer, verification, and documentation procedures to ensure service quality and operational efficiency.

Provide support for inbound sales and service calls and assist with branch or contact center operations as needed.

Maintain knowledge of and comply with federal regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act as well as credit union security protocols as it relates to this position.

Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall lending, deposit growth, and member service objectives.

- Ability to work independently and with little supervision.

- Ability to input and retrieve data from computer.

- Ability to use a calculator.

- Ability to type accurately.

- Ability to compose letters and memorandum.

- Ability to use and learn office machines (i.e., copier, fax, terminals).

- Ability to use the automated loan application software.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent. One or more years experience in telesales. Two years lending-related experience in a financial institution or a college degree preferred.
